The Chapa bug-eyed frog has recently been added to the endangered species list, so we count ourselves lucky to have the group we do. The reason it is endangered is because of it's very limited range. This species is only found on Fansipan mountain in the Hoang Lien range in the Sa Pa district of the Lao Cai Province South to the  Quang Tri Provence in North West Vietnam (say that three times fast!) It is a smaller Theloderm, adults to about 2 inches. These guys resemble miniature T. corticale but their bumps are more "veiny looking", they lack any red color on the back, and have beautiful yellow flashing on the insides of the hind legs. We look forward to offering captive babies in the near future.
